The Drive, a fallen cloud, some legs get shaved. It's a party.
18:57:00, 2000-09-16

I just found my electric spooge razor in the trunk of my car, and me and my legs had a shaving party out in the california sunshine of my host's patio. That was kinda rad. To celebrate, I'm wearing flip flops and my contacts. Celebrate good times! Come on!

So ok, i'm staying in topanga canyon and working in santa monica and so every morning and every evening I get to drive along the Pacific Coast Highway as part of my commute. The differences between the Pacific Coast Highway and the Dulles Toll Road are many, but they mostly boil down to: On the PCH, i see the ocean and the mountains and some surfers and a pretty sunset sometimes and neato trees and houses and if I open my window I smell some ocean air and that's ok with me. On the Toad Roll, I saw a lot of cranes, some strip malls, some internet companies, and some dying or razed forests, and I paid to do it. In a fight to the death, it might be close, or maybe it wouldn't be even a little close, but I think the PCH would win.

But I think it goes without saying that the traffic here is assy.

The other evening I was coming home along the PCH and it seriously looked like a cumulo-nimbus had fallen from the sky, landed on the ocean, and was headed my way. I hadn't seen anything quite like it before... the fog just rolled in all spritely and contained and when you drove into it it was just like "ok here's the edge of the fog. Now i'm not in the fog.... now i am in the fog." Pretty nice.

I haven't found an apartment yet. To commemorate, I have a nice red zit.

Um how come i can't think of things to say anymore? I think it's the water.
