Award for Best Weekend

Dear Diary: I had the totally best weekend of my short life maybe! For no real specific reasons; it was just kinda dope: Friday night: Read in bed. Nice nice. Saturday day: Went to fancy girl lunch and shopping in georgetown with ann, and first thing that happened was we got the world's best and most perfect parking spot. Then we sat by the big open wall door window thing looking out on wisconsin ave at paolo's, the sun was shining, and we had the salmon with the yummy garlic potatoes, and we were very pretty. Then we bought things to make us prettier, and then when we came out of the store, the sky opened up and it was the rainiest and we got wet and we were young and happy. Saturday Night: D'Angelo postponed his shows cause he had a cold so I went and made him chicken soup and he laid his head in my lap and we watched HBO and talked about what our babies would look like. Then after he fell asleep I went to Colin Bane's birthday sk8sploitation extravaganza and watched: Fingers of Fury

I won a tech deck for best costume. Sunday: Bought more stuff to make me pretty on my trip (which, let's take a moment to smile, starts this coming saturday) and then HOT SNAKES HOT SNAKES HOT SNAKES HOT SNAKES! HOT SNAKES! Plus Les Savy Fav and here's the thing with Les Savy Fav: I loved 3/5 a lot a lot, and then the last time I saw them live when they were playing their post 3/5 stuff they were having kind of a down show, and I was thinking maybe their new stuff wasn't as good. So I let that one little show kinda ruin a really good band for me. There's a lesson in there somewhere. Last night they were back on track so now I have to buy everything they've released since 3/5. But, oh.. HOT SNAKES! I haven't been that excited for a rock show in many many many years. Has anyone seen my mind? Cause i lost it during salton city. I think it leaked out around the same time my ponytail holder flew off my head. I am young youth.
