I'm distraught. My quintessential perfect wedding date (Ryan Nelson) cancelled on me for Adam Wallacavage's wedding. I was really looking forward to it, and he was the only person i could think of that would be perfect for the affair, even if it wasn't a date date. Well, i mean i can think of plenty of people that would be perfect for the affair, but all of them are already going and already have dates, or live in Missouri.

It's going to be fun. As weddinged-out as I am (just got another invite in the mail this week), this is one I'm actually looking forward to. There's one in Boston tomorrow that I'm missing due to circumstances beyond my control, and I'm bummed about missing it, but... at a deep, dirty level of my soul it's something of a relief. Nothing underscores one's singleness quite like a) scrounging on one's hands and knees for a wedding date or the equally charming b) attending someone else's blissful union dateless, with the added perk of possibly running into one or more of one's exboyfriends who have since miraculously picked up that devoted, sweater-fetching demeanor that merely emphasizes...

i shut up now.
